The ROLdoûr screen is crafted from 100% polyester, featuring a blush-textured finish on the front for a luxurious living space and a waterproof PVC coating on the back for added durability.
Fabric Protection Recommendation
We recommend treating the textured fabric side of your ROLdoûr screen with a fabric protection spray before use. This should be applied upon purchase and reapplied seasonally or as needed. This treatment helps safeguard the fabric against scuffs, marks, and stains caused by passing traffic in your living area, making it easier to wipe clean.
For the textured side, we suggest using waterproof fabric protection products such as Scotchgard’s dry fabric waterproof shield.
Protecting the Waterproof Side
The waterproof PVC-coated side can also benefit from additional protection. Applying a waterproof repellent spray can enhance water runoff. Depending on the position of your shower head, you may choose to add an extra shield to protect your screen. This is particularly useful if the shower head is positioned directly in line with the screen, as opposed to a side-mounted shower head that produces general overspray.
Cleaning Instructions
Textured Polyester Side
Dust Removal: Begin by removing any surface dust with a dry cloth.
Spot Cleaning: Use a damp cloth (not soaking wet) or baby wipes to gently dab or scrub at marks or stains. For tougher stains, apply light pressure and rinse your cloth regularly to avoid spreading dirt.
Flat Surface Cleaning: If necessary, remove the cartridge from the frame and clean the screen on a flat, clean surface. Alternatively, clean the screen while it is in place, ensuring you do not apply excessive force to avoid stretching the fabric or damaging the waterproof resin. Use a clean, flat object or board behind the screen for support while cleaning.
Wiping Motion: Wipe the fabric in a single direction, from top to bottom, with the screen fully extended.
Air Drying: Allow the screen to air dry naturally while fully extended.
