How SAFEdour Fixed Panels Work

SAFEdour Fixed Panels are designed to seamlessly integrate with all SAFEdour door models—saloon, hinged (pivot), folding, or sliding—giving you total flexibility in how you build your shower enclosure.

Corner Install (2 Walls):
Use one fixed panel to close off the open side, with your SAFEdour door as the entrance.

Freestanding/Alcove Install (1 Wall):
Use two fixed panels (one on each side) if your tray has no side walls and fit your SAFEdour door between them.

Custom & Combo Layouts:
Perfect for L-shaped, U-shaped or open-plan showers—just mix and match panels and doors to suit your space.

Panel widths are chosen to match the depth of your shower tray (front-to-back distance). Measure your tray’s depth and pick the closest panel width—if in doubt, size up for the perfect fit.

Do I Need a Fixed Panel? – Quick Guide

Use this simple guide:

✔️ You Need a Fixed Panel If:

• Your shower tray only has one wall at the back (open on one or both sides).
• You’re installing the enclosure in a freestanding location or at the end of a run of cabinets/walls.
• You want to create a corner enclosure but only have one side wall (not two).

❌ You Don’t Need a Fixed Panel If:

• Your shower tray is installed between two solid side walls (like a classic alcove/niche).
• You already have solid walls on both sides where the door will be fitted.

Typical Setups:

• Corner Install (2 walls):
  Add one fixed panel to close off the open side, with the door on the other side.
• Freestanding/Open-End (1 wall):
  Add two fixed panels—one for each open side, with the door between them.
• Alcove/Niche (3 walls):
  No fixed panels needed—the door fits between the two side walls.

Magnetic or Non-Magnetic Fixed Panel?

• If you have a single door closing against a fixed panel or wall:
  Choose the fixed panel with a magnetic closure for a secure, watertight seal.
• If you have double doors closing together (e.g., double sliding or bi-folding doors):
  Choose the fixed panel without a magnetic closure—the doors meet each other, so no magnet is needed.
